about

Hey, funny music fans: If you could be any recording artist, who would it be? Hint: He has long, dark, curly hair, a "Bedrock" song, and a brand-new album that dropped 6/21/2011.

Unfortunately, we can't all be Lil Wayne.

So could we settle for being "Weird Al" Yankovic instead? YES WE COULD.

To prove that, here's a parody [naturally] of "Billionaire" as performed by Travie McCoy featuring Bruno Mars. It is crammed full of Weird Al references and is brought to you by this supergroup of Alcolytes:

Concept, lyrics, and talent wrangling: M. Spaff Sumsion
Instruments, mixing, and production: Bob Emmet
Singy vocals: Robert Lund
Rappy vocals [in order of appearance]: ShoEboX [of Worm Quartet], TV's Kyle, Tom Smith, Carrie Dahlby, Seamonkey, Jared Ringold [of Possible Oscar], Devo Spice, Spaff.com, the great Luke Ski, Jesse Smith [of Morning Sidekick], Dr. Milo T. Pinkerton III [of Consortium of Genius], Bill Dant, Steve Goodie, Insane Ian, and Jeff Reuben

Listen for cameos by Al's [and our] sensei, Dr. Demento, and Weird Al himself, who said this about this assemblage: "I'm absolutely honored by this and they have my full approval. Please send along my sincere gratitude to Spaff and the gang!"

Back atcha, Al.

Spasiba, comrades!

Incidentally, this song was intended for the Weird Al tribute album Twenty-Six and a Half but showed up late for the party.
